Ellen Axson Wilson

The Ellen Axson Wilson statue stands as a graceful tribute to Rome, Georgia’s native daughter—an artist, scholar, and First Lady of the United States.  Frances Willard Munds is portrayed in a poised, forward-leaning stance that reflects both determination and momentum. This posture honors her pivotal role in organizing, advocating, and collecting signatures to secure women’
